List of MTV EMAs 2023 Winners After Show Cancellation

Gather ’round for the 2023 MTV EMAs, the event that was supposed to be more epic than a squirrel on a sugar rush but got canceled faster than your Wi-Fi when you’re trying to stream cat videos. The show scheduled for November 5 in the City of Love, Paris, was a no-show.

But fret not, because MTV generously handed out awards like candy at a kid’s birthday party, and our girl, Taylor Swift, was the undisputed champ, raking in Best Video and Best Artist like she was collecting Pokemon. They even left us hanging in a few categories, probably just to keep us on the edge of our seats, wondering who’s gonna win the “Best Excuse for a Cancellation” award.

So, without further ado, let’s take a gander at the winners, shall we? Drumroll, please!

BEST SONG
Doja Cat – ‘Paint the Town Red’
Jung Kook feat. Latto – ‘Seven’ – WINNER (because apparently, eight wasn’t enough)
Miley Cyrus – ‘Flowers’
Olivia Rodrigo – ‘Vampire’
SZA – ‘Kill Bill’
Taylor Swift – ‘Anti-Hero’
Rema, Selena Gomez – ‘Calm Down’ (as MTV realizes it needs to calm down after canceling the show)

And let’s not forget about the prestigious award for “Best Excuse for a Cancellation” – which goes to… Israel and Gaza! You canceled the show, but you won our hearts!
But wait, there’s more! MTV threw in some additional categories for good measure, probably to keep the suspense going. Here’s a taste of what else was up for grabs:
